Our Honest Review

I was really excited to try Mexican tamales. Coming from Colombia, tamales are part of our food culture, but I didn’t realise Mexico had its own version. And honestly — I loved them.

I ordered the bean tamal with a side of mole sauce. Years ago, when I lived in Mexico, I didn’t like mole at all, but my taste has definitely changed. This time, it was rich, comforting, and delicious. Portions are generous, ingredients are fresh, and the flavours are deep and satisfying. I especially loved the variety of side sauces, with different chillies to mix and balance the flavours. Mexican tamales are hearty, flavourful, and a true highlight in Tulum.
